Lines & Geometry

Architecture doing the composing — symmetry, perspective, the vanishing point.

An empty shuttered market arcade in one-point perspective. — #1

Mirror-image escalators and stairs, one figure at the top. — #2

A train arrives past a peeling concrete platform ceiling. — #3

A band of blown-out light between the dark slab and floor of an underpass. — #4

A vending machine and bikes in a razor-thin alley. — #5

A woman down a warm herringbone-floored underground arcade, shops shut. — #6

House eaves and a bright galvanised downpipe against deep blue. — #7

Layered terracotta roof tiles meeting a rough stone gable. — #8

A narrow alley with an udon sign and a single bicycle. — #9

The pagoda and vermilion halls from below. — #10

A dark archway frames a red-and-white tram. — #11

The parasol-dotted bow of a moored river boat on black water. — #12

A giant '30' road marking, a taxi, a parasol under the railway bridge. — #13

An orange forklift on a sunlit lane of dark-wood houses, hills behind. — #14

Nothing tagged that here.
